The Reheat team is delighted for our colleague, Rosanna Curtis, who was presented with the Future Leader in the Forest Industry Award.
Rosanna, who works in Reheat's consultancy team, was presented the Tom A Bruce-Jones Memorial Award at the Confor Awards 2024 in Edinburgh. The award criteria is an individual with outstanding skills, who has the potential to be a leader in the forestry and timber sector - someone showing initiative, passion and making a real difference.
Rosanna was primarily recognised for these strengths a result of her work on the Northwoods Innovation Programme. The Forestry Comission-funded initiative has been created to bring undermanaged woodlands back into management, and Rosanna, as Project Manager, has led on the programme's success to date. This has included engagement with a wide variety of woodland owners and stakeholders across the North East of England and Yorkshire.
Neil Harrison, Reheat Director and Co-founder, said: "We're incredibly proud of Rosanna's achievement and recognition of the hard work she has done to revive Northwoods - a programme established 20 years ago - and give it new life by working on essential woodland management with land owners and foresters. Rosanna thoroughly deserves this acknowledgement from the UK forest industry and is another example of the great young people who will help its long-term development."
