Business Development Manager
This key appointment will support and strengthen our expanding network of sales partners across the North of England and into Scotland. In this role, the successful candidate will grow our network and examine the range of products and services we offer. Our Business Development Manager will also look for gaps in the market and proactively pursue those leads. We’ll provide full training and technical support, but would expect a good level of technical aptitude. There’s room for growth and an excellent remuneration package and flexible working opportunities for the right person.
The right candidates will have practical experience of the biomass sector. The position will be primarily based at our offices in Alnwick, Northumberland, and whilst focused in the north of England and Scotland, will require travel to other parts of the UK and EU on occasion. If the right candidate comes along, we’d be happy to look at an alternative base in the North.
The role is a challenging but exciting one and involves partnership working, technical sales, system design, training and partner development. You’ll be joining a company with a fresh approach, working as part of a team with a long history in the UK wood fuel industry.
Responding to our significant growth over the last few months, we need to grow and strengthen the our technical support team. This new role of Biomass Engineer will continue to support the strong growth of re:heat installation partners and support our technical and consultancy services to the expanding wood energy market.
The main duties of the appointment would be to provide technical support and assistance to both the re:heat team and to the network of installation partners who delivering wood heating projects. The successful candidate will assist where necessary with strong sales growth across the company’s business areas with our installation partners, continue to deliver consultancy and training and to assist with the recruitment and support of a network of sales and installation partners. We also ask out engineers to assist with troubleshooting third party installations and training and pretty much anything we’re asked to turn our hands to within the wood fuel sector. This role will be partly site-based and partly office based.
Our ideal candidate will have some experience of the biomass sector in the UK, be an enthusiast for the technology and knowledgeable of the potential for growth of the sector in the UK. We provide manufacturers specialist training and support throughout.
We’re creating a great opportunity for a recent or soon to be graduate to join our team and to be part of the next phase of our growth. Ideally, we’d like to recruit an engineer with building services qualifications, a graduate of renewable energy technologies or mechanical or electrical backgrounds. But the right candidate is more important than the qualifications they offer. They will compliment and support the whole team on a varied work load from installation support, design assistance and preparation of proposals and reports, client and customer support and work on the sales side of the business. A varied and rewarding mix of work will be on offer.
An ability to learn is essential, turning up with all of the answers isn’t.
